On My To Read List...

Had a fun time speaking at the 19th Annual Jewish Children's Book Writers & Illustrators' Seminar yesterday. I'm eager to read the books of the other author panelists. I'm sure I'm going to love Susan Krawitz's Viva, Rose, based on a family legend about a relative who really did run off to fight with Poncho Villa.

And I'm looking forward to reading Erica Perl's forthcoming book, All Three Stooges, which by the way is not about the Groucho, Harpo or Chico, but a coming of age story about a father who commits suicide and its impact.

I was also fascinated to lear about Sacha Lamb's YA fiction about two Trans boys in "Avi Cantor Has Six Months to Live" published on thebooksmugglers.com. It was a hoot to be there...a conference I always wanted to attend. Was so nice to meet many other authors, published and aspiring ones and to meet librarians and Vivian Newman, from PJ Library. Thanks to the Evie Saphire-Bernstein and the staff of Jewish Book Council for this uplifting event.
