Meet the Mayor
I woke up this morning to find the Boy Mayor of New York in the New York Times,
the same Mayor who became the decider
in The Knish War on Rivington Street.
Since the New York Times only reported the heated up knish war in January of 1916,
I had to find a solution...and this man, Mayor John Purroy Mitchel popped up in my research. Yes, I even sent his picture in a high hat for the illustrator to use. His short but celebrated life would make a good novel...he's such
a man of his time.
