At the New York Historical Society

On Saturday I had the fun of reading The Knish War on Rivington Street for a family program that included parents, grandparents, and children. I started with pictures of the Lower East Side since I knew little children of today might not know what the world looked like when pushcarts and tenement houses lined the streets. They have an amazing hands on museum downstairs with a little library, as well. It was very special presenting in a museum where I have done research in the library, heard distinguished speakers, and visited fascinating shows. As a friend put it...it was a hoot!
